Unity (in Swedish: Enhet) is a small political party in Sweden. The party was founded on April 6, 1990. The party is heavily influenced by New Age ideas, and claims to represent a spiritual alternative in politics.
Starting as a smaller movement in April 1990, on the initiative of Ulf Wåhlström, Unity then turned into a political party shortly after.
One of the party's primary goals is "to work with catering for the human's need of spirituality". A sketch of how this could occur is made in the party document known as the "Vision Programme" (Swedish; Visionsprogram), which is based on the will and lust of the human to interact with the Universe (other humans, animals, plants etc) in a way that is meaningful and loving.
Unity means that there is a powerful force of Love within all humans and that it can be used to improve the quality of life for the individual, as well as for others. To create a better world, one must have a respectful and loving attitude towards others.
On a practical level, the party would have a society where money is used only for facilitating the exchange of goods and services, taking a stand against economic inflation and interest.
In the 2006 parliamentary elections the party got 2,648 votes (0.05%), up from 603 votes (.01%) in the 2002 elections. However in the Swedish general election, 2010 the party only received 632 votes (.01%) this was down 2616 votes or 0.04%
